In the fall of 2026, the Kunsthalle Palazzo will present a comprehensive solo exhibition by Peter Brunner Brugg.
In his precisely constructed reliefs and spatial works, the artist transforms simple materials such as cardboard into poetic, concentrated visual and spatial structures. With minimal intervention, he creates a quiet yet compelling tension between surface, rhythm, and light, revealing how unassuming materials can develop an aesthetic presence of their own.
To mark his 80th birthday, Peter Brunner Brugg is developing a site-specific installation exhibition for the Kunsthalle Palazzo, in which existing works are combined with new pieces. The individual rooms of the Kunsthalle are deliberately highlighted for their architectural distinctiveness and utilized in nuanced ways. This creates a cohesive spatial experience that centers on the dialogue between the artwork, the space, and perception.
