Description
Permafrost exists in the Swiss Alps mostly hidden in scree slopes and steep rock walls above the tree line. When the permafrost warms, the amount of ice underground decreases and the amount of water increases, which can have far-reaching consequences.
This lecture shows how the invisible phenomenon inside our mountains can be measured, how it has changed over a quarter of a century - and finally, what this means and how it might continue.
