Description

Last life for fallen objects and amateur∙e∙s of non-certified music, Opus Zero is a sound and visual sculpture project designed from recycled, broken, or abandoned instruments. The project explores the boundaries between music and visual arts by giving a second life to these objects relegated to waste. In a context of resource waste, the work questions our relationship with defective things and reveals their poetic potential. Led by composer Mathieu Corajod, performer and improviser Violaine Gestalder unleashes the expressive richness of these altered instruments. A visual artist envisions the initial configurations, whose assembly and arrangement on stage transform the listening experience. The sculpture, shaped in real-time, becomes an active partner in the narrative, introducing tension and surprises.
