The Limmattal is getting its first opera house with Oper Gaswerk! We present operas with current stories and passionate music, starting with Tullio Zanovello's opera THE APP. A great cast of five opera singers and three instrumentalists from various opera houses and also from the Tonhalle bring the story of Paul and Laura to life. They are accompanied by a large virtual orchestra, as Paul and Laura must find themselves in the conflict between virtual and analog reality. Paul programs an app that makes decisions for overwhelmed people. Ambitious entrepreneurs recognize its potential and want to invest in it. The app therefore becomes increasingly dominant and controlling, and when Laura gives Paul the choice between her and his app, he cannot help but consult the app. He would have preferred not to do that...
