OM

Description

The Swiss group OM is a phenomenon. How many bands are there worldwide that have played together in unchanged line-up for almost half a century and have continually explored new boundaries? 50 years ago, the four musicians made music history across Europe with their "Electric-Jazz-Free-Music." Today, OM uses improvisation as an instrument. They have developed a new playing technique that sharpens the immediacy of this instrument without neglecting the dramaturgy of the whole. The fusion energy from the clash of Hendrix and Coltrane, from which OM once emerged, continues to glow. At the same time, the transformation process of the four musicians has given way to new sound images and surprises that can only be created live. Source: BeJazz License: CC BY-SA 4.0
