Year 1996. Producers Čechtický, Lipert, and Kleník call British singer Charlotte “Charlie One” Fairman in London to record several tracks they are working on. Fairman does not hesitate. The album “Ohmophonica” is created – and with it, OHM SQUARE, the first band of its kind in the Czech Republic. What started as a cross-border collaboration of several studios evolved into one of the most distinctive electronic groups in Prague, known for blending live instruments with electronic energy and soulful singing. “Well, a lot has changed over the years... including our music,” jokes Fairman. In 2026, current members Charlie One (Fairman) and Jan 2 (Čechtický) will celebrate 30 years of Ohm Square with the release of another EP, a new concept of live performances at major summer festivals, and in the autumn, a series of special solo concerts. The band will revive classic tracks while also presenting new material – even after three decades, Ohm Square remains as progressive and vital as ever.
