Description

The fortress Aarburg, built in the 12th century and expanded into a fortress between 1659 and 1673, is a symbol of the historic town of Aarburg. Since 1893, it has served as a youth center, and visitors can discover its fascinating history through guided tours. These tours are held every Saturday from April to October at 2:00 PM, regardless of weather, and last approximately two hours. Participants gather in the courtyard, and the tour is conducted in German. Tickets cost CHF 10.00 per person, payable in cash on-site, with children of school age attending free. Group bookings for more than 10 people are available upon request. The tours are open to the public, but advance registration is not required for individual visitors.
