Description
The OHM was founded in 2001 on the occasion of a teachers' concert at the Sarnen Music School. The unusual formation of the group was very well received by the audience, which was reason enough for the three music teachers (Larjssa Bohner, Peter Berchtold, and Norbert Kiser) to continue performing with OHM. The initially used double bass was replaced by a tuba, which contributed to the special sound. OHM plays, in addition to a few original compositions, old Obwalden dances (collection A. L. Gassmann) and folk music from the entire Alpine region. We strive to present the pieces with wit and joy. We continually supplement our repertoire with a few "raisins." Silvia Wagner is an organist, pianist, and music educator. She studied piano, organ, and church music at the Lucerne School of Music and graduated with distinction in organ concert diploma. She then deepened her training in early music at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis with a focus on organ, figured bass, and harpsichord. As the principal organist in Malters and as a piano and organ teacher at the Risch-Rotkreuz Music School, she is versatile and regularly participates in concert projects with various ensembles and choirs.
