The weekend of June 11 to 13, 2027, will host the 48th Drummers and Flutists Festival of Upper Valais in Brigerbad. 25 associations, gathering around 1,000 musicians, will come together during these three days in our village of 400 inhabitants – we look forward to your visit! Our association, currently with 33 active members, is mobilizing to organize the Drummers and Flutists Festival of Upper Valais. Compared to the August 1st celebration that takes place every year, this event will be a bit larger, but the basic idea remains the same: to have a good time together, to the rhythm of good music, around good food and in good company. At the heart of this Upper Valais event are the competitions, which will captivate our village starting Friday with solo and duo performances. On Saturday, the events will continue with individual and group competitions, and on Sunday evening, the announcement of the results, which everyone is eagerly awaiting, will take place. The tension is palpable; everyone wants to 'bring home' a crown, and the joy of the association's family, when ranking among the top, resonates throughout the tent. It is for these goosebump moments that we love traditional music! On Friday and Saturday evenings, a varied musical program, featuring local and national groups, guarantees an exceptional festive atmosphere and plenty of entertainment. Another highlight is the grand parade on Sunday afternoon, with all associations in their traditional uniforms. More details about the program will be regularly published on our website.
