Description

Young harpsichordist very noticed, Maciej Skrzeczkowski has established himself by winning the first prize at the Musica Antiqua competition in Bruges in 2023, as well as the Outhere prize, which led to his first album dedicated to John Bull on historical virginals. Trained at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and then at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, he performs in many halls and festivals across Europe, from the Philharmonic of Warsaw to the Misteria Paschalia festival. In 2023, he was nominated for the Koryfeusz Muzyki Polskiej, the most prestigious musical award in Poland. Around Louis Couperin, Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, Rameau, François Couperin, and Forqueray, this program for solo harpsichord offers a journey into the heart of the Grand Siècle and the Enlightenment. Maciej Skrzeczkowski explores dance, rhetoric, and the infinite palette of French affetti. The harpsichord becomes a miniature theater, a mirror of passions, and an instrument of pure elegance.
