Céline Cerny and Line Marquis are co-authoring a book, a collection of incantations and images. In response to this vague threat, fueled by thousands of images and numbers as well as forecasts about the collapse of our political, economic, and social systems, the form and timeframe of which are unknown to us, they strive to counter the staging of this dystopia with a resilient imaginative world. In a series of fragments addressed to a loved one, the narrator weaves reflections on our connection to the animal world and our distant past, on the hope for fluidity of genders, on the significance of imagination, and the power of stories in our lives. A musical reading, carried by Pauline Epiney and Aurélie Emery, reveals the strength and beauty of the text in their enchanting first collaboration.
