Beaches, cliffs, wind, and stormy spray: The trio LYS invites you on a musical journey along the North Sea coast. The music leads to Denmark and Great Britain, combining romantic soundscapes with expressive and modern tones. John Ireland wrote his clarinet trio under the impression of the landscape of the Channel Islands. Emil Hartmann paints a romantic picture of the Nordic “idyll” in his serenade, while Per Nørgård's clarinet trio is characterized by a unique, modern sound language and his intense engagement with nature.
