Girls, get ready. Sartre's classic Huis Clos serves as the basis for directors Klamydia von Karma and Milky Diamond's – let's say – loose inspiration, which takes us from a hellish hotel room to the backstage of a glamorously shabby drag club in Zurich's underworld: the DEVIANT DISCO. Surrounded by a grab bag of substances, secretions, sex toys, dirty mirrors, and flamboyant intoxication, the feud between the young, rising queen Klamydia and the aging legend Milky is suddenly interrupted by a nameless muscle-bound figure. They barely have time to wonder what a heterosexual is doing there when a demon appears to them. The charismatic little devil introduces themselves as DD and informs the three that they are unfortunately dead. Better yet, they have gone to hell. Heaven is homophobic, my loves. So now they are booked into DD's HellBnB until the end of all days. At least there's 24/7 room service, well, something. From the initial panic, a series of playful escapades develops between the mismatched trio: lots of drama, musical interludes, glory holes, a good dose of megalomania, and a (perhaps not entirely voluntary) coming out. Oh, the vanity, the wigs, the pink! As the Alpine snow no longer burns and the champagne has turned pale, as the enjoyment and the bling-bling fade, more and more uncomfortable truths surface from the worn-out boredom, because the shy muscle guy from Lucerne has more to hide from the two queens than initially thought. In that sense: beat your face, put on your best dress – we’ll see you at the DEVIANT DISCO.
