Description

When Nils Holgersson is enchanted by a goblin, he shrinks to a tiny size—small enough to talk to animals and to discover a world that has previously been hidden from him. In his distress, he meets the house goose Martin, stubborn, warm-hearted, and full of unexpected courage. Together, they join the flock of wild geese, led by the proud Akka of Kebnekajse. The journey takes the two through poetic landscapes, unexpected encounters, and great challenges: to the cranes performing their secret dance; to crows that know more than they reveal; to an eagle carrying an ancient story within; and repeatedly to the fox Smirre, who chases Nils. Along the way, Nils and Martin learn what trust means, how courage is born, and how strangers become friends. Stefan Camenzind's production combines humorous dialogues, touching moments, and a clear, vivid language. Live music by Marius Bear accompanies the journey, enhancing moods and giving the wide world of the wild geese its sound.
