Night of the Proms 2023 presents Toto, Anastacia, James Morrison, and Aura Dione. Classical meets US rock, Danish pop, and British songwriting. The Night of the Proms 2023 promises to be an extraordinary concert experience once again this year. Under the motto "Classical meets Pop," international stars from the rock and pop industry will perform on stage, accompanied by the Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra and the Fine Fleur choir under the direction of Alexandra Arrieche, delivering an unforgettable evening. The band Toto, which became world-famous in the 80s with hits like "Africa" and "Rosanna," has been a fixture in the music scene for decades. With over 40 years of stage experience and numerous Grammy Awards, they continue to be part of the daily radio programs of all stations with their timeless music. Steve Lukather and Joseph Williams, the two leaders of the band, will perform their greatest works at the Proms. The US singer Anastacia is a talented performer and has enchanted the Proms audience in the past with her versatile voice. Since her breakthrough in 2000, she has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and is known for hits like "I'm Outta Love" and "Left Outside Alone." With her energetic stage presence, she transforms halls into a melting pot of rock, pop, and soul. The British singer-songwriter James Morrison captivates fans with his gentle voice and heartfelt music. His debut album "Undiscovered" in 2006 immediately reached number 1 on the UK charts and has since become a fixture in the music scene. Songs like "Who’s Gonna Love You Now" and "Broken Strings" delight the audience. Danish pop singer Aura Dione is best known worldwide for her number 1 hit "Geronimo." With catchy melodies in songs like "I Will Love You Monday (365)" or "Friends," her distinctive voice, her extravagant appearance, and performance, she has established herself in the international pop scene. Further guests will be announced in the fall. As always, the artists are supported by the Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra and the Fine Fleur choir under the direction of Alexandra Arrieche, one of the best conductors worldwide. With her extraordinary temperament, she gives the classical part of the show a very individual touch.
