Nicole Johänntgen «Henry» – Original Quartet

Description

The album Henry was created in 2017 in New Orleans. Nicole Johänntgen was so successful with it that several Henry follow-up projects were created; one of them also performed in Glarus in 2020. Now the busy saxophonist is touring Europe again with the original lineup from the USA. The spectacular and legendary "Second Line" drum groove from New Orleans meets the pumping sousaphone, which handles the bass area and lays the harmonic foundation for fiery improvisations between trombone and saxophone.
