Since 2003, the label has stood for nights with a clear musical vision and has brought names like Dennis Ferrer, Junior Jack, Sandy Rivera, and The Martinez Brothers to Basel over the years. On October 10th, New Stars continues this story at Viertel_Klub, welcoming DJ Gregory, a guest who couldn't be more fitting. The Frenchman Grégory Darsa has been a prominent figure in the French House scene since the 90s. Together with Bob Sinclar, he was part of the Africanism project, later founding his own label Faya Combo. Productions like «Tropical Soundclash» and «Elle» became fixtures on international dance floors and exemplify his sound, which combines House with African and Latin American influences, percussion, and a lot of groove. Under his alias Point G, Gregory has repeatedly shown new facets of his work over the years. Accompanying him are four DJs—Cristian Tamborrini, Claudio Carrera, Fred Linger, and Robbie Romero—who complete the musical evening. Thus, a Basel House institution meets an artist whose music has shaped clubs for decades and has not lost its impact to this day.
