We cordially invite you! The first concert in 2027 aims to bring energy and good cheer for the whole year, so we celebrate it with lively lightness and festive elegance. For the New Year's concert, we initially travel eastward – to the magnificent melodies, captivating rhythms, and elegiac harmonies of Antonín Dvořák and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Inspired arias and elegant dances accompany the audience effortlessly into the new year. In the second part of the program, the musical journey along the Danube leads back westward. Works by Jacques Offenbach, Franz Lehár, Johann Strauss, and other composers transport you into the world of operetta. Witty arias, fiery overtures, and lively waltzes give the concert its spirited character. Under the direction of its chief conductor Pietro Rizzo, the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra can showcase its full charm and welcome the new year with musical brilliance.
