Description

After the Russian Revolution and the end of the First World War, the signs pointed to "Never Again War." Designers and artists believed that new approaches would also initiate a new way of seeing and contribute to a better society. About a hundred years later, alarming parallels to that time of awakening, which found its provisional end with totalitarian systems, are evident. The discussion addresses individual works in their historical context and their relevance to the present. With Adrien Hall, curator and researcher of modern cultural history, Daniela Mirabella, graphic designer, lecturer in BA Design at ZHdK, and Bettina Richter, curator of the poster collection and the exhibition, Museum of Design Zurich.
