Concert There is a special magic in every beginning: On the evening before the official release of the EP Warme Tage, the artist Neneh Boye will perform with her band on the stage of Ballhaus Naunynstraße. She will perform live and in band formation for the first time. It is certainly no coincidence that the release concert takes place here. Neneh Boye has known the Ballhaus Naunynstraße for years; most recently, she was here with The String Archestra and their very first collaboration with composers and singers Gonza & Bona Ngoumou in front of a sold-out house. Now she gives her extended debut: Warme Tage. Neneh Boye's music moves between soul-pop and RnB, driven by heartfelt German-language lyrics and melodies that convey vulnerability, honesty, and authenticity, while also reflecting societal developments. Inspired by the Afro-German poet and activist May Ayim, her songs carry a sense of attitude and poetry. Following her debut single Boye (2024), she released Winterluft with rapper and drummer cesco. blz; this year, singles Pistazien & Grüner Tee and Augenwinkel were released. Her EP Warme Tage tells of nostalgia and love, of identity and profound encounters. Neneh Boye aims for a very special atmosphere where vulnerabilities, depths, and shimmering lightness all have their place. The former ballroom in Naunynstraße is likely the perfect stage for this.
On this premiere evening, Neneh Boye will be accompanied by five musicians: cesco. blz on drums and percussion, Philipp Ahovi on piano, and the string trio Daniele Daude, Yassin Sowe, and Eurico Ferreira Mathias from the Berlin String Ensemble The String Archestra.
