Description

Set in 1949 Naples, this film follows ten-year-old Celestina and her companion Carmine as they navigate a world marked by poverty and the aftermath of war. After a bomb destroys their home, they attempt to reach New York, following George, a cook on a US Marines ship, secretly boarding to escape their hardships.
