About the performance This rock opera combines the story of George Orwell's 1984 with songs by the band Muse. The focus is on Winston Smith's attempt to oppose a totalitarian regime under the control of Big Brother. Artistic concept The staging by Marco Rampoldi and the dramaturgy by Paola Ornati weave text and music into a continuous evening on stage. Arcangelo Deleo embodies the main character both acting and singing, interpreting well-known titles such as Psycho, Uprising, Take a Bow, and Hysteria. Features The scenography enhances the Orwellian atmosphere with a dominant stage structure and screens that reflect the ideas of surveillance and control.
