The cult band of the 80s The music of Münchener Freiheit exerts a special attraction. Its appeal remains unbroken to this day and is strong enough to win the hearts of the next generation as well. Hits like “Oh Baby”, “SOS”, the super hits “Ohne Dich”, “1000-mal Du” or the symphonic masterpiece “So lang’ man Träume noch leben kann” are found in almost every CD cabinet in the republic. Münchener Freiheit is a band that has written German and international pop history. One reason for this is certainly the unique “Freiheit sound” consisting of unmistakable vocal harmonies, beautiful, catchy melodies, and captivating straight rock rhythms. After just a few seconds, every music fan knows: this can only be Münchener Freiheit. In autumn 2011, singer Stefan Zauner decided to go his own way and leave the band. Stefan wants to realize himself more in the future by producing his own songs and CDs and productions for other artists. The name and brand “Münchener Freiheit” has been shaped over the past 30 years by all 5 band members into what the band is today. Therefore, Aron Strobel, Michael Kunzi, Rennie Hatzke, and Alex Grünwald will continue to perform with Tim as the new frontman and produce CDs. Tim received classical vocal training, is an actor, and has hosted several TV shows on ARD, BR, RTL, etc. Tim Wilhelm has been known to the band for several years through some joint studio productions. The first shows with the new lineup were extremely successful, as Tim understands how to captivate both the existing fan base and new fans with his refreshing appearance.
