Led by Matt Stämpfli, the Monday Night Rehearsal Band MNRB (www.mnrb.ch) brings together 17 musicians in a classic Big Band lineup. With a compact sound and mostly new original compositions, the band performs concerts at a top level that continually excite audiences anew. MNRB was able to secure Simon Heggendorn as a guest soloist. With his virtuosic violin playing, he combines classical, jazz, and improvised music. He appears in various projects as a versatile musician. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Stephan Eicher, Michael Zisman, Joe Haider, Nik Bärtsch, among others. Since 2018, he has been teaching jazz violin at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).
