At the end of his life, Zelenka decided to create a collection of six final masses. Only a fragment of this intention remains, consisting of three compositions that represent an undeniable peak of Zelenka's work. The second mass, dedicated to the Son of God, is a work overflowing with inner expression and stunning virtuosity.
