Description

Milla was born in 2000 in Martigny in Valais and is a singer-songwriter with a lively and poetic musical world. In 2020, she completed her artistic baccalaureate at Collège de Saint-Maurice and began her studies at the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD) in 2021. Since 2019, she has been working and composing together with singers Marc Aymon and Jérémie Kisling as well as with the duo Aliose. Besides music, her passions also include painting and literature. Her first exhibition titled "Le ventre creux" took place in 2021 in Martigny. She is among the ten Swiss artists who participated in the project "Glaneurs, trésors éternels," published in October 2022. She was also part of the musical exhibition "Ici, le lac ressemble à la mer" and the accompanying catalog published by Glénat. For five years, she has been involved in artist residencies at Swiss museums. Her voice and musical contributions have been recorded for songs that are now part of the permanent exhibitions at Musée Jenisch in Vevey, Musée du Léman in Nyon, Musée gruérien in Bulle, and Maison de la Culture in Savièse. In 2022, she was selected as one of the artists for the Valais funding program Salto!, aimed at professionalizing musicians in the field of contemporary music. Since 2021, she has been performing her own compositions on stages in Western Switzerland and across the French-speaking world and beyond, including Greece, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Egypt, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Mozambique. She released her first self-produced EP with three songs recorded between Switzerland and Paris. The production involved Frédéric Jaillard (who has worked with Thomas Dutronc and Feu! Chatterton), Yann Arnaud (who has worked with Stephan Eicher, Dominique A, and Syd Matters), and Chab (who has worked with Indochine and Angèle).
