Wald-Geist Freshly graduated from the Swiss Literature Institute, Jonas Sollberger publishes his first novel with the prestigious Éditions de Minuit – a spectacular career start! In his story, we follow Élie on the eve of his recruitment day as he hunts for a bird named Moïse. The forest presents itself – inviting yet threatening – as a temporary refuge from parental admonitions. As night falls, we move with Élie through the shadows, trying to fly away with Moïse. Jonas Sollberger's 144-page narrative, constructed as a song without pause or full stop, will be read in excerpts by the author. Cellist Marina Vidal Valle and double bassist Witold Moniewski from the Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra TOBS! musically capture the atmosphere of the texts.
