The singer, who grew up in the mountain village of Amden, impresses with musical versatility, captivating charm, and biting wit. Meanwhile, von der Heide has released his 15th album, "Noël Noël." He has given hundreds of concerts (including in Germany, Austria, Canada, France, Ukraine), appeared in countless TV shows, and has performed several times in Christoph Marthaler's productions ("Lina Böglis Reise," "Meine faire Dame," or "King Size") on the stages of the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Opera in Avignon, the Théâtre Odeon in Paris, the Royal Opera House, and the Berliner Volksbühne.
Michael von der Heide has worked and continues to work with Kuno Lauener, Betty Legler, Martin Suter, Annette Humpe, Nina Hagen, and Milena Moser, among others. His musical diversity has earned him numerous awards. For example, he was awarded the Silver Hare for the best Swiss pop song of 1998 for his "Jeudi Amour." In 1999, he received the Prix Walo in the Songs/Chansons category, in 2000 the German Kleinkunstpreis (Chanson), in 2022 the "Werkjahr" cultural prize from the city of Zurich, as well as gold records for various projects.
