Philharmonie Frankfurt, Juri Gilbo & Robert Neumann The Philharmonie Frankfurt is one of the most dynamic orchestras in Germany. Founded in 2019 by graduates of the Frankfurt University of Music, the orchestra reflects the multiculturalism of its home city: musicians from Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East form an ensemble that has quickly established itself as an important cultural ambassador. The orchestra's distinctive sound results from a special symbiosis: the warm, “creamy” string sound of the Eastern European school meets the traditional Western European wind culture. The repertoire is limitless, ranging from Baroque and great symphonies to daring crossover projects with jazz and rock musicians. At the helm is the charismatic conductor Juri Gilbo. Born in St. Petersburg, the musician studied, among others, with Tabea Zimmermann in Frankfurt and has been considered one of the most exciting talents of his generation since his sensational debut at the Berlin Philharmonic in 2007. For 15 years, he has significantly shaped the orchestra and regularly leads it on international tours, which will take the ensemble to South Korea, Dubai, and South America in the coming seasons. The orchestra is accompanied by pianist Robert Neumann, an exceptional talent of the young generation. He made his orchestral debut with the RSO of SWR at the age of eight. As a scholarship holder of the Mozart Society Dortmund and “SWR Kultur New Talent,” he has since performed at renowned institutions such as the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig and the Lucerne Festival. Since 2024, he has also demonstrated his visionary understanding of classical music as the founder and director of the Cannstatter Klavierfrühling.
