Description

The change of direction in the author's life leads him on his border tour over about five months, 3,000 kilometers, and 150,000 meters of elevation gain to personal insights, borderline experiences, and enlightening moments. Five neighboring countries, two enclaves, 15 cantons, 290 municipalities, language and cultural regions: The “continuous view” of the Swiss national border. A multifaceted border experience along the cultural heritage as a “string of pearls” of unique border stones and fantastic landscapes. Planned and surprising, connecting and dividing, curious but also tragedies, forgotten and superlatives. Living only with what you carry on your back and being happy – including the emotional world.
