Description
Created by poets Samy Manga (Cameroon) and Caroline Despont (Switzerland) from their collection Opinion poétique, published by L'Harmattan. In 2023, the musician and songwriter Chris Maldah from Freiburg joins the project for a dialogue between rock, guitar, and traditional instruments played by Samy Manga, to create a poetic concert. This encounter between African sounds and Western rock continues the North-South mediation that underpins the work of the two poets. On stage, words take shape through voice, rhythm, singing, poetry, and music. The text claims, denounces, and celebrates differences that enrich, while disarming those that divide.
