Megadeth - Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations Europe Tour 2027

Description

Breakout: Hibernation Of The Nations Europe Tour 2027 The separation from Metallica in 1983 could have meant the end. For Dave Mustaine, it was the beginning of something bigger: still in the same year, he founded Megadeth, creating a band that would significantly shape the history of metal. On Monday, April 5, 2027, Megadeth will come to the Festhalle Bern with the Hibernation Of The Nations Europe Tour 2027: because the last show was sold out, the band is extending their farewell tour with this one final date in Switzerland – the truly final opportunity to be there. Over four decades, the band has stood for technical precision, uncompromising riffs, and live power that defined the genre. Albums like Peace Sells… But Who's Buying? (ranked 8th on Rolling Stone's “100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time”), the platinum-certified Rust in Peace, or the double platinum-certified Countdown to Extinction are now part of the thrash metal canon and have influenced generations of musicians. In early 2026, the self-titled album Megadeth marked the final statement of an era. Dave Mustaine and his bandmates Teemu Mäntysaari, James LoMenzo, and Dirk Verbeuren put an end to this chapter. The 17th studio album brought the band their first number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart – accompanied by the documentary film Behind the Mask. Since then, Megadeth has been on their multi-year farewell tour, making one last stop in Bern. What this means specifically for the Festhalle Bern: no more dates, no second chances, no further announcements. The setlist will cover their entire career – from the early thrash hymns of the 80s, through the MTV era of the 90s, to new material from the farewell album. Anyone who ever wanted to see Megadeth live will have this last regular opportunity. Participants: Megadeth Additional information:
