SPITZENREITER – this is the name of the brand new stage program by Matze Knop. Together with his new horse buddy, he rides boldly through the madness of our everyday life. All the tricks and challenges of these crazy times are faced by Matze in his well-known humorous and ironic style.
From artificial intelligence to self-service checkouts to the suffering of a battered SUV driver, like Matze himself, to Dinkel-Dörte on her cargo bike and politicians tangled in their own statements like cable headphones in a backpack.
And what would Matze be without football? Whether Champions League or local league, VAR drama or dream goal — Matze transforms every punchline as reliably as Messi scores a penalty in the final. With a sharp eye and lots of humor, he lampoons the big and small absurdities of the world's most beautiful sport and has the 2026 World Cup firmly in sight.
Of course, the unmistakable parodies by Matze like Kloppo, Jogi, Ronaldo, Lodda, and Diedää are also not missing. He has them all with him. But his show also takes a trip back in time: He takes his audience to the 80s, 90s, and 2000s — to a time when we stumbled through the outdoor pool with a teething toy, an Ed from Schleck, and a Walkman — without Wi-Fi — but with a hungry Tamagotchi. Who doesn't remember the feeling of updating the teletext page or being greeted with a cheerful "uh-ohhh!" on ICQ?
