This Wednesday Matinee takes an in-depth look at the multifaceted work of American artist Ruth Asawa (1926–2013). Asawa's work, which is also renowned for her public space sculptures and her commitment to art education, transcends traditional boundaries between abstraction and figuration, art and craft, action and contemplation. In addition to her impressive wire and bronze sculptures, we will also explore her drawings, prints, and paintings together. Seating is available. An auditory loop is available upon request.
