Description
Guardian angels are given to people as shepherds and protectors to help them in the fight against devilish temptations and lead them to a fulfilled life that ends in Heaven. The feast began to be celebrated in the 15th century in Spain, later confirmed by Pope Leo X in 1518. In 1608, it was established by Pope Paul V for the Habsburg lands, then celebrated on the first Sunday in September. Finally, Pope Clement X set the date to October 2 and extended the feast to the entire church in 1670. The mass is celebrated by the Zlatá Koruna parish priest P. Mgr. Jan Kulhánek. Accompanied on electric keyboards by Ing. Vladimír Jantač.
