Christmasconcert by Martin Chodúr“Voice of Christmas” offers listeners a unique musical evening built on the atmosphere of the holidays and the exceptional voice of Martin Chodúr. Czech and international Christmas songs, gospel melodies, and famous pieces that belong to Christmas due to their message of peace, joy, and nostalgia will be performed. The program sensitively connects carols and Christmas melodies with lyrical and well-known songs that gain a new dimension during the Advent season. Martin Chodúr introduces the pieces with short interludes, making the evening feel like one continuous musical story. The program will include songs such as “Lover’s Concerto,” “White Christmas,” “Hallelujah,” “Green Green Grass of Home,” “Free as the Wind,” “Down by the Riverside,” “Little Quiet Happiness,” “Follow the Happiness,” “Wandering Blood,” and the traditional “Silent Night.” The musical accompaniment is provided by leading artists from the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava. The concert lasts 90 minutes.
