Description
The love story of Marietta and Fritz can be experienced in a cabinet exhibition at Heidegg Castle until October 31, 2026. The chambermaid from Sachseln and the Bavarian servant met at Heidegg in 1904. They immediately fell in love and sent each other 500 postcards over the following years, which were recently donated to the castle by their descendants. The lovingly designed cabinet exhibition on the 5th floor provides very personal insights into the joys and sorrows of servants in the early 20th century. And into the fascinating mass medium of the postcard, the multimedia messaging service of the time.
