Marie - singer-songwriter about herself: I draw inspiration from life and emotions. I compose and perform songs that touch hearts and tell stories that everyone knows. Simple melodies and strong lyrics reveal truths and provoke thought. Each of my concerts or recitals is unique, and no one ever knows what to expect:-) But it is always beautiful. I perform in several forms. Alone – as a singer-songwriter, or I am accompanied by the gentlemen from the band KDO JSME MY in various formations. They are passionate musicians who believe that music has the power to change the world, and that is what makes us so exceptional as a whole. This is evidenced by the awards received recently – Marie is a finalist of the Zahrady Písničkářů, and together we hold the PORTA 2023, ZLATÉ ČESKÉ 12 from Czech Radio, and we are the absolute winners of ŠANCE MUZIKUS, winners of the folk competition NOTOVÁNÍ. & Kdo Jsme My Pavel Tilšar - bass and rhythm Pavel is a multi-instrumentalist who plays the bass guitar with his hands and “simplified” drums with his feet. His playful bass lines and rhythmic footwork add energy and groove to the music. Their collaboration with Marie creates the fundamental rhythmic structure for the entire piece. In “non-band” life, they are married, so you often learn interesting backstage stories on stage, usually in a very humorous way. He is also a driving enthusiast. Thanks to him, Marie is always safe and on time for concerts. Pavel is a calm and balanced person who takes his “work in the band” seriously and always tries to bring his unique energy to the songs. His approach to music is based on collaboration and harmony with other band members, creating unforgettable musical experiences for the audience, just as he did before in bands like FajnBeat and HDP. Martin Penič - whistle, saxophones Martin and his playful flutes, whistles, and saxophones add new colors and dynamics to Marie's songs. He is also the liaison officer for non-verbal communication with the audience – because his smile brightens every room. He is a founding member of the band who always strives to contribute to creating unforgettable musical experiences for his listeners. Martin has a rich musical past, which includes performing in several bands. In the band The Chancers, he contributed to creating dynamic melodies and energetic performances. With the band Shannon, he explored the laws of Irish music and pushed the boundaries of his creativity and whistle playing. In the group Uširváč, he brought his tones to the saxophones and contributed to creating the band's unique sound. These experiences helped him build a strong musical foundation and prepare for the next phase of his musical career as a member of the band “Kdo jsme my.”
