Born in 1968 in the Swiss village of Merenschwand, he was already writing puppet theater as a child and was telling his parents the most incredible stories («Verzell doch kei Gschichte. Und mach nid sones Theater!»). After seven years as a primary school teacher, Marcel Huwyler switched to journalism. For almost 25 years, he wrote stories about his homeland and reports from all over the world for magazines – he is fascinated by everyday things, behind which legendary stories hide, and he loves discovering and describing normal, unusual people. Today, Marcel Huwyler lives in Central Switzerland.
