Manic Pixxies founded in November 2020 without a plan, little musical experience, and full of curiosity, quickly found their own sound. Within a few months – and with a makeshift band room – they created "Dream Girl". Half of the members didn't know each other before, and as friendships grew, so did their music. Now, Manic Pixxies are touring with their album "I know my headphones really well" - it was developed over nearly four years. The album centers on the intimate relationship between you and your headphones. They have heard everything you ever wanted to enjoy, hide, or consciously perceive. Putting on headphones means taking time to listen consciously. But each pair makes you hear things a little differently – sometimes sadness hits harder, sometimes euphoria feels ten times more intense. Batbait is a sound that is much more than distorted guitars and driving rhythms. Sparkling in the noise. Against the Glotz. When patriarchy stalls, Batbait sounds out. Accessibility is renegotiated as they shred their songs. DIY here is not a style but a lived reality. The four female musicians relentlessly develop their own musical language, free from conventional boundaries: distortion, reverb, and clicking rhythms intertwine into a complex, layered experience. Batbait shows how rock music doesn't just need a lot of space but can also be loud, angry, and at the same time reflective, joyful, and sensitive. Between power, nonchalance, and understatement.
