On stage, forty dresses come to life: evening, wedding, everyday, or ball gowns. These dresses shine, fall, spin, and transform. Worn by five performers, they become living matter, revealing bodies in motion, vibrant and filled with emotions. With Maldonne, Leïla Ka signs an intense and sensory piece, already performed more than 200 times worldwide. Through this simple yet powerful setup, the choreographer explores the multiple facets of femininity: fragilities, revolts, and shifting identities. The dresses become dance partners, witnesses, and extensions of the bodies. A physical and poetic work, where clothing reveals as much as it conceals, and where each gesture affirms a lively and unique presence.
