Description
People have their reasons for behaving the way they do. Behind extraordinary behavior are often unmet needs. People with dementia may exhibit challenging to aggressive behavior in exceptional situations. Unfulfilled and unrecognized needs, or other causes, often play a significant role. How do you generally respond to challenging behavior? What do you do in such situations for yourself and for the other person? These two questions are at the center here. You will explore your own behavioral patterns when confronted with challenging to aggressive behavior. Reflecting on the causes of challenging behavior in people with dementia is just as important as professional de-escalation. Source: www.weiterbildung.swiss
