They are in search of spaces of happiness – somewhere between somnambulistic transcendence and relaxed danceability. And what they have found is their new album «Kirschblütenboogie».
It was midsummer when Löwenzahnhonig moved into the barn. No studio, no big city noise, no everyday worries. Only the air, heavy with sun dust and the scent of blossoms, the milky light between the cracks of the wooden beams, and a collection of instruments that sounded like from another time. There, where time pressure had no reception, Kirschblütenboogie was created – an album like a soundtracked Super-8 film: flickering, yellowed, full of quiet precision. Löwenzahnhonig sounds as if someone had slowed down the tempo of pop music to give it room to breathe again. Guitar lines sneak through the window like sunbeams, the bass is a patient storyteller, the drums think more in landscapes than in beats.
