Liza Vadénoff, a Franco-Swiss artist of Russian origin, has been living in Moutier for about twenty years. In the form of hangings, Liza Vadénoff's creations play with materials. By challenging possibilities, thousands of embroidery points meet mosaic tesserae and sometimes sewn fabric for a balanced composition. Femininity, life’s emotions, and instinct are expressed through patient narrations in hundreds of hours of passionate work. Birds, animals, and characters draw the eye towards a dreamlike and poetic world, sometimes surprising, sensual, ecological, but with humor not far behind. Opening hours of the exhibition: Wednesday to Sunday from 3 PM to 6 PM. The artist will be present on Sundays September 5, 12, and 19, as well as Sunday, October 4. Participatory project Workshop with various partners: associations, schools, regional nursing homes. In different partner locations starting September 4. Presentation of the collective work at EMS Résidence Beausite, Moutier on Friday, October 2 at 3 PM. Parallel to the exhibition The strength of the bird, and as a nod to the artist’s journey, who worked for fourteen years as an art therapist with adolescents in psychiatry in Moutier, a series of intergenerational, multicultural, accessible, and playful workshops will come to life around a large canvas. Associations wishing to participate in this project can contact us. Guided by a creative concept imagined by Liza Vadénoff, the various participating groups will successively enrich this collective work, which will travel through the Moutier region and surroundings. It will be unveiled during a festive and friendly ceremony before continuing its journey, carrying the bonds, encounters, and joy it has inspired.

General Information

Liza Vadénoff's exhibition is held at the Centre Culturel de la Prévôté in Moutier, from Wednesday to Sunday from 3 PM to 6 PM. It features unique creations blending embroidery and mosaic, while offering participatory workshops in collaboration with local associations.
