Description

LISTED LIVES is dedicated to lists as seemingly simple, everyday tools that deeply influence personal, societal, and poetic aspects of life. Lists organize, remind, and structure – at the same time making power relations, routines, desires, and vulnerabilities visible, which often remain hidden. The exhibition brings together artistic positions that examine lists as an aesthetic, performative, and documentary practice. Drawing, writing, archives, memory, and digital data sets become forms of listing, collecting, and cataloging life, perception, and emotion. The spectrum ranges from intimate, personal registers to algorithmic and societal systems of order. A central part of LISTED LIVES is participation: visitors are invited to submit their own lists or contribute on-site. These will continuously become part of a growing, collective exhibition. This is complemented by an open, playful installation that offers space for spontaneous drawing, writing, and creating. LISTED LIVES is conceived as a dynamic project that makes lists not only a means of order but also an expression of experience, imagination, and lived reality.
