Description

The novel tells the story of a consuming love that cannot be lived. The narrator – mother and emigrant – falls in love with her counterpart, a woman, during an endless train journey. A passion grows that soon turns into absolute claim and obsession. The protagonist increasingly fails to distinguish between memory, fantasy, and experience. Like her wandering thoughts, formal poetry and prose weave into an inextricable fabric. The woman surprisingly finds relief and support in simple things that connect her to the real world; for example, in a wooden play tower that accompanies her from then on. БАТТЕР Me Up! Lull mich ein! unfolds in prose and lyric a language of musical imagery and driving rhythm. The book, which is a bilingual edition, is published by Zeitkind Verlag.
