Reading Promotion with Reading Dog

Description

Sometimes it only takes a little courage to unfold the joy of reading. The reading dog offers children the opportunity to practice their reading skills in a safe and relaxed environment – completely without pressure. The dog listens attentively without judging or correcting. This creates an atmosphere in which children can playfully gain self-confidence and rediscover the joy of reading. The offer is conducted by Mara Lou Stutz with her reading dog "Balia." Mara Lou Stutz has completed training as a school, office, and reading dog with Social Dog with her dog. The reading promotion takes place on two consecutive Saturdays and lasts 15 minutes per child. Information:
Block of two sessions: 1st block 24.10.2026 / 31.10.2026
Duration: 15 minutes per child and session (1 child per session)
Block times: 10:15 – 10:30 / 10:35 – 10:50 / 10:55 – 11:10 / 15 minutes BREAK / 11:25 – 11:40 / 11:45 – 12:00
Where: Cantonal Library Uri (Multipurpose Room)
Leader: Mara Lou Stutz with her dog "Balia"
Participation: free, children aged 7 - 12 years, accompanied by a caregiver, registration required

General Information
