«Les Voix» - Anniversary Concert

In 2026, «Les Voix» celebrates 30 years of women's choir singing. Founded in 1996 at the Sekundarschule Münchenstein under the name «Voices», the choir has developed from a school initiative into an independent, renowned ensemble. Since 2018, the ensemble has performed under the name «Les Voix» and captivates with clear voices, fine sound, versatile repertoire, and a passion for a cappella singing.
The anniversary program combines the past and present: each singer presents her favorite piece from her personal connection to the choir – from romantic music to Swiss folk songs to international masterpieces. Anecdotes bring the diversity and memories of three decades to life.
As a highlight, a new commissioned work by Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo will be performed: his setting of Lord Byron's poem «She Walks in Beauty». Thus, 30 years of lived tradition are combined with contemporary creativity to create a unique musical experience. Anastasija Raspopova accompanies on the piano, and the musical direction is led by David Rossel.

General Information

The anniversary concert of Les Voix takes place at the Roman Catholic Church St. Stephan in Therwil. The choir presents favorite pieces of the singers and combines tradition with contemporary creativity.
