Computer science has gradually established itself in the humanities, enriching their methods and opening new perspectives. Through statistical analysis of texts, we will discover several digital approaches to identify the author of a text, detect forgeries – such as the famous Donation of Constantine – or demonstrate why William Shakespeare is such a great writer. The New Testament is also the subject of computational studies: are all the epistles attributed to Saint Paul from the same author? What about the writings traditionally associated with Saint Luke? Finally, in the age of artificial intelligence, computers are now capable of writing political speeches. But compared to those of French or American presidents, do these texts really show significant differences? Let's see if the computer is becoming a real literary detective!
