LEMBE LOKK Secret Cords

Description

Wild, powerful, and organic; all adjectives to describe the tribute project to Leonard Cohen by Estonian singer Lembe Lokk. Surrounded by two fantastic musicians from jazz, pop, and traditional music scenes, she revisits Leonard Cohen's repertoire by almost stripping his songs down, with a very pure sense of sound and raw emotion. Music that oscillates between folk, jazz, and pop, making these standards more alive than ever. An original and moving tribute with precision. Lembe Lokk: vocals, guitar + Michel Schick: clarinet, harmonica, ukulele + François Puyalto: bass
